Baby Shower

It feels like only yesterday that we found out there would be a little Baby Davis joining us in 9 months time! And yet, somehow, last weekend it was already time to have a Baby Shower! I can't believe how fast the time has gone. It's exciting and scary at the same time.

I decided a few weeks ago that I wanted to have some fun with the Baby Shower, and DIY it up! Reason being that once the baby comes, I may find I have just a little bit less time to do crafty things! So as soon as I finished up with work, I went craft-crazy for a couple weeks!! I had fun making everything from the photo backdrop - to the individual name cards on the milk bottles - to the Photo Booth props - to the hanging Ice Cream cones above the food table.. and more! None of these decorations would have been possible without my incredible husband, my wonderful sister-in-law and mother-in-law, and of course my trusty Silhouette Cameo!

The day came together just how I imagined! A fun setting, with lots of little things to do. Great food (thanks to my Mum and Sister), and being able to enjoy it all with close friends and family.
Thank you so much to everyone who came to celebrate, it would have been pretty dull without you.

I also want to give a huge THANK YOU to the amazing people that helped make the day happen! Firstly, thank you to my amazing husband who put up with my craft obsession during the weeks leading up to the baby shower! Instead of complaining, he was full of encouragement, support & ideas, and not only helped me do the manly things, but was also involved with little details of the day. Thank you to my Mum & my sister - who organised the cake, cooked and baked the food, and organised the wishing well. Thank you to my Mother-in-Law & Sister-in-law who organised the lollies, lolly bar jars, drink dispensers, made my dream fruit salad, and helped me create the hanging ice creams and white/gold photo wall on a couple long DIY nights! Thank you also for rearranging your living room, and with the set up of everything! Thank you to Anggi, Elaina and Denise for baking the brownies, macaroons and for the use of your glass milk bottles and drink dispenser! And also thank you to Anggi and Amelia for picking up my camera and getting photos of the day - hugely appreciated!

All of you were such a vital part of making my vision come together, and making the day what it was.

Joe and I have been completely spoiled with love and presents! What a loved little girl we have. I can't believe it's almost just FIVE weeks until my due date, and we'll actually be able to meet her! It feels so surreal, so exciting, and yes.. a little scary. But I dream of her every night, and I can't wait to be able to hold her in my arms.

For such a little person, there is a LOT of things to do before she arrives! Wish us luck!

Have a beautiful day,
