I am loving doing sponged gradient nails at the moment. There is something soft and lovely about them.

These ones I decided to do four sunset colours, and then hand paint a little silhouetted palm tree! I love how it turned out!

First, I painted my nail white, so that the colours I used on top would stay nice and bright. Below are the colours I used, and a picture showing you how your sponge should look!
Have fun!!
Have a beautiful day!

My wonderful sister-in-law bought me nail vinyls recently and I had so much fun with them!
Firstly, choose a base colour. I tend to go for white as it helps keep any colours you use on top nice and bright. When your base colour is dry, pop on your nail vinyls and sponge any colours you like on top! Peel off the nail vinyls straight away, and let dry. Finish it off with a top coat and you're finished! It's as easy as that.
For those interested, have a peek at the video tutorial below!

It's official. I'm obsessed.
I can't stop doing my nails. There are so many things you can do, and relatively easily!!
All that was required for this was white nail polish, masking tape, and four colours I loved!
If you like these ones, pick your favourite four nail polishes and give them go. I put together a 15 second video tute below!
Have fun, and send me your photos!! I'd love to see.

Have a beautiful day,

In true birthday celebration, here are my party nails! There are five layers of loveliness, which gives it depth and beauty, and with just the right amount of sparkle it catches the light perfectly. It seemed appropriate to give it the name Dark Confetti.

With this little bit of inspiration, see if you can come up with your own layered creation! Or if you're a little bit in love with the colours in this one, have a peek at the video tutorial below, and give it a go!

I love a good tribal nail. I figured it was time to do one! Follow along if you like.
Clean and file your nail as normal. I actually decided to do a base coat, then a top coat of shellac first. After all the work on each nail, I wanted it to last a little longer than just normal nail polish!

So let's get started! Pick a colour. I went with baby blue. Do one or two coats depending on how it looks. Then follow the pictures below! Feel free to make up your own random pattern as I did.
It's as easy as that!
I was originally going to leave it at that, but I decided to get super tribal, and do them all! Instead of doing them the same though, I added a little coral to the tips first, then did my black and white lines afterwards.
To finish it off, I did another layer of base shellac, then a layer of top shellac. So now they're nice and thick, and they'll last longer! They feel so good. Give it a go if you like!

Happily Yours,

Nothing gives me greater joy than getting some really great feedback about my blog, as I did recently. It makes me so happy to think that in some small way I can inspire people with creativity and add a little colour in every day life. Thank you to those lovely people!!

So it's time for another nail tute! I wanted to do a fun little sponged gradient heart, so get your colours out, and follow along.

Firstly, do two coats of white nail polish, all over your nail. Make sure it dries completely before continuing.
Cut a little strip of sticky tape or something similar. Fold it in half and carefully cut half a heart out along the fold. Then open it out to see your full symmetrical heart.
Choose the colours that you want to blend. I chose the two pink shades below.
Lay the sticky tape onto your nail, placing the heart where you want it. Press down the edges hard.
Next, pop a few drops of each colour right next to each other onto a bit of cloth.
Simply roll the cloth over your nail a few times. Wait about 30 seconds, then peel of the sticky tape to reveal your gradient heart!
It's as easy as that! Let it dry, and then finish it off with a clear top coat.

If you're feeling confident, mix it up a little with shapes and colours and see what you can come up with. Maybe a black & grey diamond, or a yellow and green triangle!

I am loving summery nails. And what's more summery than Watermelon?! These juicy nails were a lot of fun to paint! If you'd like to give it a go follow the pictures below.

Colours
Red
White
Green
Black

I used a thin brush for both the white and the black nail polishes, because they needed to be relatively fine. For the green, make sure you paint it on top of the white so that it stays light green. For my first attempt, I just painted it on top of the red and it turned out much too dark.

Remember to finish it off with a clear top coat!

Learn from my mistakes!! But most importantly, have fun.
I wonder what other fruits would be fun to try! Thoughts?

For this weeks nails challenge, I decided to go green! But I felt like something a little more than just plain green. Something with two tones. And so appeared my Nerdy Neon Nails!

For this look, simply paint a coat of nail polish all over your nail. I went with a neon green. Let it dry.
Then dab some white nail polish on the ends, however thick and messy as you like. Let it dry.
Then paint a thin coat of the original colour you used all over the nail again. This creates the perfectly matched two tones!
Try this with any colour your like! I'm thinking either pink or orange would also look great.

Have fun, and as always, send me photos of your creations!

Have a beautiful day,

Doing your nails can be so creative. It is quickly becoming my weekly art!
I challenge you to have some fun with your own nails, and do something creative with them each week for a month! Upload a photo on Instagram, or FB and tag me so I can see your creations.

This week, using the same method I did in Nail Pop, I simply painted all my nails the one colour, and then used the sticky tape to create a heart shape, and painted over it. So simple.
You can make endless shapes, patterns and layers, with endless colours!
If you find that your nail polish doesn't stay on long enough to last the week, get yourself some clear Shellac and finish it off with a coat of that! Get creative, and give it a go.

Have a beautiful day,

When you work in admin, you see your nails a lot. Unfortunately they have been looking quite sad and miserable of late, so I thought I should probably fix them up a little! It had been so long since I had done them, that I couldn't decide on a colour! Dilemma.

So I picked out four!
This was simply done with nail polish and sticky tape.
Firstly, make sure your nails are cleaned, shaped and filed.
Then paint the lightest colour all over the nails. Once it's completely dry, stick some sticky tape across your nails, wherever you want.
Tip - It's best for the sticky tape to not be super sticky. Just dab it against your skin a few times so that it won't take your nail polish off.
Then paint the next lightest colour onto the nail. Then peel off the sticky tape to reveal your creation! Let it dry well.
Repeat with as many colours as you like! And then finish it off with a clear coat of nail polish.
Get creative, and give it a go. Then send me pictures so I can see!
Upside? Every time I look down at my fingers, it makes me smile!
Downside? I am craving ice-cream at all hours of the day!

Have a beautiful day,
