The Final Bump
It's pretty crazy to think that just 16 weeks ago, we hadn't yet had the privilege to properly meet our little Isla Mae. We hadn't been lucky enough to see her eyes smile, or hear her laugh. She is such a character, such a joy, and such a blessing.
Before my belly burst, we had the incredible Anita of Mayfly Photography snap some photos of us down by the beach. It feels like a lifetime ago, but at the same time I remember it like it was yesterday. Thank you lovely Anita, we will treasure them always. Such precious memories!
We had no idea what we were getting ourselves in to! Parenthood is quite the adventure. So many learning curves, so many new experiences! You are suddenly, and quite literally, holding someone's life in your hands. It's completely life changing. But amongst the worry and the lack of sleep, comes a joy that I've never experienced. A happiness that I didn't know I had in me, and a feeling of satisfaction over my whole life. It's as if this is what I was put on this earth for. To be my little girl's Mum. To make her happy, and to give her all my love.
With my husband standing next to me, and my little girl in my arms, I am completely whole. I can't ask for much more than that.
