SMUDGE

It's official. I'm obsessed.
I can't stop doing my nails. There are so many things you can do, and relatively easily!!
All that was required for this was white nail polish, masking tape, and four colours I loved!
If you like these ones, pick your favourite four nail polishes and give them go. I put together a 15 second video tute below!
Have fun, and send me your photos!! I'd love to see.

Have a beautiful day,

In true birthday celebration, here are my party nails! There are five layers of loveliness, which gives it depth and beauty, and with just the right amount of sparkle it catches the light perfectly. It seemed appropriate to give it the name Dark Confetti.

With this little bit of inspiration, see if you can come up with your own layered creation! Or if you're a little bit in love with the colours in this one, have a peek at the video tutorial below, and give it a go!
Have a beautiful day!

Happy Valentines lovers!!
Some people really dislike Valentines Day. This makes me a little sad. Whether you're in a relationship or not, why can't we just think of this day as a day of love? A day to shower people with love?
You don't need to spend much money either, and it can still be special. Just quality time with friends or family, a kind gesture here and there. I wish there were more days in the year that were dedicated to loving others! Imagine the world we could live in.

Today, Joe had to work, but I had the day off. So this morning I went to meet a bride-to-be, and all her bridesmaids to do their nails for the wedding tomorrow!! Then on the way home I stopped off and picked up some watermelon, chocolate and a heart cutter. (Ironic?) Then being a good wife, I made these little treats for when Joe walked in the door!
Mmm.. delicious!! This was possibly more for my benefit than Joes.
It has been a loved up, loved filled, lovely day.
Have a beautiful day!

I love a good tribal nail. I figured it was time to do one! Follow along if you like.
Clean and file your nail as normal. I actually decided to do a base coat, then a top coat of shellac first. After all the work on each nail, I wanted it to last a little longer than just normal nail polish!

So let's get started! Pick a colour. I went with baby blue. Do one or two coats depending on how it looks. Then follow the pictures below! Feel free to make up your own random pattern as I did.
It's as easy as that!
I was originally going to leave it at that, but I decided to get super tribal, and do them all! Instead of doing them the same though, I added a little coral to the tips first, then did my black and white lines afterwards.
To finish it off, I did another layer of base shellac, then a layer of top shellac. So now they're nice and thick, and they'll last longer! They feel so good. Give it a go if you like!

Happily Yours,

Nothing gives me greater joy than getting some really great feedback about my blog, as I did recently. It makes me so happy to think that in some small way I can inspire people with creativity and add a little colour in every day life. Thank you to those lovely people!!

So it's time for another nail tute! I wanted to do a fun little sponged gradient heart, so get your colours out, and follow along.

Firstly, do two coats of white nail polish, all over your nail. Make sure it dries completely before continuing.
Cut a little strip of sticky tape or something similar. Fold it in half and carefully cut half a heart out along the fold. Then open it out to see your full symmetrical heart.
Choose the colours that you want to blend. I chose the two pink shades below.
Lay the sticky tape onto your nail, placing the heart where you want it. Press down the edges hard.
Next, pop a few drops of each colour right next to each other onto a bit of cloth.
Simply roll the cloth over your nail a few times. Wait about 30 seconds, then peel of the sticky tape to reveal your gradient heart!
It's as easy as that! Let it dry, and then finish it off with a clear top coat.

If you're feeling confident, mix it up a little with shapes and colours and see what you can come up with. Maybe a black & grey diamond, or a yellow and green triangle!

If you upload any pics, tag me (@mrsdavisxo) so I can see!

Happily Yours,
