Thank You, Thank You, Thank You!

Since the wedding has been and gone, I have missed being so crafty and all the DIY projects we were doing. So any excuse to do something a little crafty.. and I'm on it! Our Thank You cards are underway, made with a little bit of craft, and a lot of love!

Bow ties have become a love of mine. They are so fun to make, and so cute to wear.

There are so many possibilities with shape, size and fabric.

Finding the right bow tie can be difficult. For our wedding, we wanted bow ties for Joe and all his groomsmen, but there was nothing at the shops remotely close to what we wanted! They were all made with satin, and either black, white, red or bright pink. Not really our style. So I decided to make them myself! I experimented with a few test ones, but ended up deciding on a dark grey stretch material - and I loved how they turned out!

If you need a bow tie for any event from a wedding - to a dress up party, feel free to inquire!

I am now taking orders and making/selling custom made bow ties.

(Price is dependant on material wanted.)

Well, I'm back to the sewing machine.. there's a few new designs on the way. I should probably not be doing so many projects at once.. but I can't help myself!!

I recently stumbled across a lovely sewing blog - 'See Kate Sew'. I could spend hours browsing her various different projects. I came across her Modern Ombre Triangle Quilt Tutorial and was inspired to try my hand at making a quilt!

I used her template and formula, and then I just went for it! Thanks for the post Kate!

Our wedding day was not only the last day of my 'single' life, but it was also without a doubt the best day of my life. I am falling more and more in love with my husband each day, and I still can't believe he chose me to be his wife! Sometimes I have to pinch myself just to make sure I'm not dreaming.

I've just gotten our wedding photos from Loren of Nectarine Photography, and I'm so happy with them!! She captured the day perfectly, and they are such a beautiful reminder of the day.

My words don't do the day justice, so I will just tell you about the day in the best way I can. Through photos.

it was truly perfect for us. everything from the people who came, to the fairy lights that shone bright. such a happy day, and so satisfying to see it come together. one of the most special moments for me, was when i got to have my father-daughter dance played over the projector. that is something that has been planned for the last two years.

i have the most wonderful husband, who worked so hard with me to give us everything we wanted and everything we felt was important.. and he did it with a knee-weaking smile.
