Happy Day!

It is in fact a very happy day. I have some exciting news! Today I am officially opening my online etsy store! I'm a little scared.. and a little nervous.. but mostly just very happy.

I've had quite a lot of interest in my clothes so far, which is great! But it did make me a little nervous to open up the whole shop right away incase I get a little overwhelmed and aren't able to deliver on time. So after much thought, I've came to the conclusion that I should just start off with opening the 'Littles' section. And I do so love this section. One day in the future, I will most likely be that embarassing mother that only dresses her children in the clothes that she makes!!
Oh well.

So please feel free to scoot along to my etsy store located in the tabs above, and have a browse! Keep in mind, this is just the beginning.. now that I've started I don't think I'll be able to stop.

Well lovely people, the sun is shining again today, and Joe and I need to get some work done on our lovely treehouse. Poor thing needs some love and care, so that she'll get back in good shape before too long.

Good Day!
The sun is (finally) out again in perth. We had a week of quite destructive weather last week! Some places were hit harder than others. The good news is that our half-done treehouse survived!! It's standing strong, and I'm so proud of her! My faith in her structure and stability has only grown. The bad news is that despite her standing strong.. there was still some damage done.

Although it may not have been the wisest thing to start building a treehouse as you're heading into winter, after putting so much hard work and truely our whole hearts into this project, it was a little heart-breaking to see this..

BUT. Hopefully it's nothing that Joe and I can't mend with a little love and care.
..and look - the roof is still in tact!

Whilst watching the weather rage outside all week, I had time to get cosy inside with a hot cuppa and my beloved sewing machine. I came up with this sweet little babydoll dress! Made from black faux leather and a tie dye print.

good evening! for the past week or so i have been busy setting up and designing a website, which is almost ready to publish! it's turned out very sweet and simple which i love. there's still a few bits and pieces to organise, but then it will be ready for everyone to have a look at.

i've been getting lots done in the sewing world - even experimenting with faux leather! i'm loving my little collection of clothes, and keep coming up with new ideas to try out. if only i had a few extra hands to keep up with my design ideas!
oh, and in other exciting sewing news - a lovely little package arrived in the mail from france with my sweet new clothing labels!! it's all coming together :)

when i take some time off sewing, it's usually because the sun is out and the treehouse is calling! joe and i have made lots of progress on it. have a look at our beautiful double glass doors leading out to the balcony! i've been putting some love into the framework, and have slowly started painting it a beachy washed out white. however, whenever i paint, i seem to end up getting more paint on me than what i'm actually painting!
the treehouse house makes me so happy.. i simply cannot wait to live in it!! even if just for a little while.
